In additional to all the benefits of the Movin' and Groovin' educational classess the fitness classes also provide these GREAT benefits!

Movin’ and Groovin’  is a developmentally age-appropriate program designed to help prevent the rise of childhood obesity through 45 minutes of physical activity!

Movin’ and Groovin’  enhances fine and gross motor skills through a variety of movement activities!

Movin’ and Groovin’  promotes positive interaction and cooperative behavior among participants!



Check your local Community Education Catalog to see if this class is offered in your district. Classes are offered in the Fall, Winter and Spring. There are NO Summer Classes.

Movin’ and Groovin’ Fitness and Fun Level I
: Looking to increase your child’s listening skills? Looking for a place where your child can interact and socialize with other children? If you answered yes to any of these questions then try Movin’ and Groovin’...a high energy interactive music class that will keep your child dancing, jumping and singing to a variety of engaging songs while using a variety of props and instruments. This class is designed so that each child between the ages of 24 months and 5 years may participate individually or with an adult. It is a great environment where children can unwind. There are no prerequisites and no wrong way to participate. Movin’ and Groovin’ creates a positive atmosphere where “kids can be kids” while developing their fine and gross motor skills, social and listening skills, self esteem and gain independence. 

Movin’ and Groovin’ Fitness and Fun Level II: Level II is a continuation of Level I. The class is higher in energy and includes some of the favorite songs from Level I along with some which are more advanced. Examples include Macarena Math, Cha Cha Slide, Sit Down Turn Around and many more! This class is designed so that each child between the ages of 5 and 7 years may participate at any developmentally level. It is a great environment where children can unwind. There are no prerequisites and no wrong way to participate. Level II continues to  create a positive atmosphere where “big kids can be big kids” while developing their fine and gross motor skills, social and listening skills, self esteem and foster a love for exercising.

$10.00 per child, plus a $2.00 craft fee

This high energy class is designed so that each child between the ages of 24 months and 7 years may participate individually or with an adult.
